Meet Ms Fit- Ellan Dickieson
I think the key to success in life is "Everything in Moderation". I am a strong believer in living a balanced life; some hard work, some fun, some sweat and tears, some laughs and cheers.
My energy, outgoing personality, and leadership make me a strong Personal Trainer and a great fit for my full-time career as a Social Worker.
Growing up in New Glasgow, PE I was immersed into the world of sports, from figure skating to hockey, soccer and rugby. Some of my best sporting years were spent competing for UPEI and U of T at the Varsity rugby level. Additionally, the sport of rugby helped me integrate into a new society and culture upon my move to Botswana Africa in 2008. During 4 years in Botswana I had the opportunity to train numerous individual clients, instruct group fitness classes, implement corporate wellness solutions and community based fitness programs. Since then, I have instructing numerous classes and carried out individual personal training. Today I find myself in Sarnia, ON where I have had the opportunity to become a Renegade Runner, Active Girls Fitness instructor, rec hockey player, tri trier, Mom, Wife, and volunteer! I hold a BA in Psychology from UPEI, and a MSW, from the University of Toronto and am a certified Personal Trainer Specialist with Canadian Fitness Professionals. Additionally, I have university level courses in administration of physical activity, nutrition for living, sports nutrition, health psychology and human biology. |
